Pre Owned 2008 Ibanez JS1200 Joe Satriani SignatureCandy Apple Red With OHSC
We just scored this sweet Ibanez JS1200, and it's a great shredder. It's a Prestige signature model of Joe Satriani, in a super cool Candy Apple Red finish. Built in Japan in 2008, this one is in excellent condition and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in the shop.
Originally introduced in 2004, the model is similar to the JS1000 but with some differences. Joe Satriani worked with Larry DiMarzio on the pickups for years. The neck pickup is an evolution of the PAF Joe humbucker, adding a touch of treble and cutting a bit of bass, to cut through the mix even better. The neck pickup is the FRED, featured on Satriani's signature models since the first JS1. It's a great combination, and this guitar sounds amazing. The tone control has coil tapping functionality, and the volume has a high pass filter. This adds to the versatility of the guitar, allowing the player to get a variety of tones.
The JS Prestige neck shape is super comfortable. It's a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, smoothly to the feel and ready to play fast on. Even with the action set low, you can still bend away without fretting out.
The 2008 version has the Edge Pro bridge on it, with Gotoh SG381 tuners. The full specs are listed below. Everything is original, including the case. Please note that the guitar came to us without a trem arm, and we didn't have the the right one on hand, so the guitar comes without the trem arm. The guitar is in primo shape - it's obvious that the previous owner took great care of it.
