The Latch Lake Bar is based on the Sol-Hoopii-type Hawaiian steel bar, the standard of excellence for lap steel since the 1920's. It's made from a select stainless steel alloy providing a super-hard silent surface. The tip features a precisely rounded "bullet" end to facilitate perfect pitch on minor, augmented and diminished half-slants. The opposing end is cupped to fit inside the index finger knuckle for maximum control of slant movement and intonation.
